Cincinnati is in an area of the county where severe weather can arise quickly and become a safety concern for Guests throughout the season. Therefore, weather is continuously monitored through local and regional sources. Additionally, Great American Ball Park is a recognized Storm Ready Facility through the National Weather Service.

This designation means the Reds have trained and prepared sheltering-in-place and evacuation plans which have been approved by the National Weather Service, Hamilton County, and Ohio Emergency Management Officials. In the event of severe weather, ballpark staff, the public address announcer, and the scoreboard will advise Guests as to what they can do to get out of harm’s way. If that occurs, all Guests are asked to quickly adhere, in an orderly manner, to the instructions provided.

Guests are subject to metal detection screening upon re-entry and there will be no carry-in items permitted through the re-entry gate. If a guest uses any other gate to exit, other than the designated gate for re-entry, they will not be able to partake in the re-entry service.
