Senior Vice President, Ballpark Operations/GM - Petco Park
The longest tenured employee with the Padres, Mark Guglielmo enters his 36th and final season in San Diego. He was promoted to his current role in December 2016, after serving as vice president, ballpark operations/general manager, Petco Park since November 2010. Until his scheduled retirement in April 2021, Guglielmo is responsible for all facility management and event operations at Petco Park, while also overseeing engineering, building maintenance and repairs, cleaning and janitorial services, playing field and exterior landscape maintenance, broadcast and transmission operations, guest services, ticket operations, security and transportation and capital projects.
Guglielmo has overseen the organization’s major capital projects over the last seven years, including the Cutwater Coronado Club, Gallagher Chairman’s Club, Compass Premier Club, Toyota Beach, Petco Park’s LED sports lighting retrofit and steel restoration, right- and left- field group space renovations and corresponding outfield fence realignment, and the Padres Hall of Fame.
Guglielmo joined the Padres in 1985 as scoreboard supervisor. He was named director of video operations and special projects in 1988 and director of stadium operations in 1995.
Guglielmo earned a Business Administration degree from the University of Redlands and studied communications at the University of California, San Diego. He resides in the Mission Hills area of San Diego with his wife, Chris. He has three grown children, Meghan, Mallory and Dominic, and four grandchildren who are avid Padres fans.
